My sincerest apologies for being away for so long. I had to take some time out to get the creative juices flowing. Now that I'm back I must say that I'm feeling more creative than ever! ( Yay me!)
Now what better way to return than to introduce an amazing statement piece that I'm currently swooning over. It's from Topshop's party collection and it's to die for! This Lasercut Jacket is too fierce and too fabulous! At $210 I need to find a way to justify this purchase so I've made a list of pro's and con's:
Pro: Ummm... Did I mention that it's AMAZING!
Con: It's only available online so it would be a pain to return it
Since launching their first collection in 2007 at the Copenhagen Fashion Fair, Just Female have gone from strength to strength achieving national and international success. The brands raw and edgy but yet oh so feminine style, has managed to catch the eye of the Topshop buyers and will be making its debut in the Oxford Circus store very soon!
Here are a few sneaky pics...
More importantly, can we please address the AMAZING peep toe lace up shoes! OWWW!
If you can't wait for Just Female's eminent arrival to Topshop, you can find some temporary relief on ASOS.com where they have some tre` cute Just Female maxi dresses.
When thinking of vintage, most will agree that Ikea isn't the first place that springs to mind. However Sweeden's second best export (H&M being first) have created a bed that would complete my vintage bedroom look...
Those that know me will agree that it was only a matter of time before my vintage obsession made it's way into the decor of my home! My love of all things vintage has led me on a mission to find a corset laced mannequin and here are some of the beauty's I found courtesy of corsetlacedmannequins.co.uk
Aren't they AMAZING?!
There are only two downsides to these gorgeous mannequins;
1. The price- they range from £89- £395... Ouch!
2. Only available in the UK- BOO! As I am currently residing in the US!
If you really feel as though you must have a mannequin in your life but don't want to spend too much, TK Maxx had a few priced around £35 a few years ago so it might be worth having a look to see if they are back in stock.
Cycling shorts are officially cute again! That's right, I said again! However when I say "again" I mean it in a "Saved By the Bell Floral Print" kinda- way!
So how are we wearing this 90's throwback this time around? The keyword here is layers.
Wear under denim shorts or if you're brave enough, on its own with a light sweater or blazer and some killer heels. If you're looking for some inspiration, have a look at Mr Wang's SS10 collection!
Spring's here!
You know what that means... Its officially socially acceptable to not wear tights! Before you do so ladies please make sure the pins are waxed and exfoliated. There is nothing cute about looking like a wilder beast!
Once that's done I cannot think of a better way to re-introduce your legs to the world than via the medium of shorts- AMAZING! Here are a few of my faves. Not ready for bare legs? Its fine, they also look cute with tights! Bring on the summer!
Whistles, that's who!
Whistles has become my new favourite shop and with the re-vamped website up and running, it's even easier to to "ooo" and "ahhh" over the amazing garments!
Ever since Jane Shepherdson's arrival at Whistles in 2008, the brand has gone from strength to strength proving that it can stand the test of time.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces.

Loving extended bras or bralets as Topshop calls them. With the underwear as outerwear trend forcing it's way into our spring summer wardrobes, you can confidently look fierce with anyone one of theses beauties!
Note* With this trend less is always more so wear with high- waisted trousers. Only a small portion on your stomach should be on show.
Haven't done enough sit up? Wear with a sheer or mesh- insert tee!
Whilst shopping on the rainy high streets of London, I've realised that there seems to be some confusion over the appropriate attire for this weather. Luckily the jumpsuit is perfect for the transition from winter to spring. Here are a few of my favourites, some of which are great for layering. Add cardigans, snoods and cute socks to stay warm and wear with buckle sandals and a soft leather jacket in the spring.
Happy Layering!

It seems as though Mr Wang can do no wrong at the moment and with the eminent launch of his new Sunglasses collection, it's obvious that this summer he will be on our minds as well as our faces! Alexander Wang is the latest designer to collaborate with Linda Farrow. His Collection will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Luella, Giles, Matthew Williamson and Dries van Noten.
Ranging from £180-£200, I predict that theses shades are going to be major this summer. My fave? Well it has to be the gold attention- demanding winged pair! Something about them screams OWWW!
If theses are a little out of your price range, you can always channel Mr Wang via Topshop. At the cheap and cheerful price of £18, they will have you feeling closer to him in no time!

I'm loving all things with buckles right now and I believe that only good can come of this obsession, as it only helps me to fuel my utility agenda!

That's right, clogs are back and there are fiercer then ever! This time round clogs have a more mature look to them, trading in the flats for a chunky heel and the powder pink suede (yes, i know you had them too!) for black, brown or beige leather.
AAAMMMMAAAZZZINNNNGGG!
If you do feel like donning a pair of Netherlands finest, do it via the medium of Chanel. These clogs are major and just what you need to welcome in the Summer! OWWW!
As we bid adieu to 2009 and welcome 2010 with open arms, there’s one thing that we all do but never stick to… The New Year’s Resolution. The resolutions we make are usually constructed around the antics of the previous night ie; I promise to give up alcohol, stop giving my number to strange men or my favourite, stop giving my number to strange men whilst under the influence of alcohol! ;)
I on the other hand have decided to come up with fashilutions, allowing myself to be content with all decisions concerning fashion by the end of 2010.
Check out my list…
1.Continue to tell the people I care about if they look a hot mess
2.Make sure I am ALWAYS looking fierce (even on my day off!)
3.Update my blog more often
4.Not to deprive myself of any fashion purchases (no matter how long I must save up for it)
As for no.4, well I plan on putting it into practice right away. My first major purchase of 2010? A gorgeous Chloe doctor’s bag! Although it’s priced at a womp-worthy £825, it must be had… This bag is too amazing!
Every week I will be sharing my thoughts on my three favourite pastimes- vintage, cocktails (parties and dresses) and 5 inch heels. Occasionally I may digress, but overall you can expect some wholesome fashion and lifestyle focused blogging.
